Although we have no office in Wyoming, we handle business and commercial law matters relating to Wyoming through our affiliate in Cheyenne. Together we assist companies and individuals with issues relating to the Wyoming jurisdiction. The firm we utilize in Wyoming assists us with our clients' contract claims and litigation needs in all parts of Wyoming, and in the past these have ranged from Rock Springs to Jackson and beyond, not just Cheyenne.
The firm first began advertising in the Wyoming Lawyer in 2003, where we offered Colorado co-counsel services to Wyoming lawyers needing Colorado counsel. Since then, we have expanded our activities in Wyoming as the needs of our clients have grown.
Mr. Williams, our firm's founder, comes from a long line of Wyoming cowboys, hailing from Douglas, several hours north of Cheyenne by car. His grandfather, Mike Williams, ran considerable livestock to the north and east of Douglas, and began the oil and gas operations which have grown into the business operated today by our founder as the M. C. Williams Oil Co., LLC. This company has leasing operations in Converse County as well as working interests in the oil fields east of Casper, Wyoming. Mr. Williams grandfather, John T. Williams, was sheriff of Converse County in 1888 and State Legislator for many years. The Williams family and Wyoming Law have been integrated for generations. The firm aspires to open a full Wyoming law office in the future. In the meantime, if you or your company are facing a multijurisdictional matter involving Wyoming and Colorado, or one of our other licensed states such as Washington, call us today.
